The Facts:
Edwards appeared in uniform on the practice field Friday, but spent the day on a stationary bike after warming up with the squad. Romeo Crennel said Edwards is "making good progress" from his January ACL surgery and has been able to do some straight-forward running with strength and conditioning coach John Lott. "We're trying not to rush Braylon," Crennel said. "We're trying to give him time to rehab and get better, so when he's ready to go we'll put him out there and see what he can do."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Dennis Northcutt and Joe Jurevicius continue to run with the first-team offense in Edwards' absence. ... At this point, an October return still seems most likely for last year's first-round draft pick. Meanwhile, Kellen Winslow is working without restriction in the team's final mini-camp.
