A sixth-round draft pick in 2002, Peterson rushed for a career-high 391 yards on 76 carries -- 5.1-yard average -- last season. Seven runs were for more than 15 yards, including two for more than 30. He also ranked third on the team with 18 special teams tackles. Peterson will continue to work behind Thomas Jones and Cedric Benson.
