Asked if Lelie might be at the Broncos' mandatory mini-camp that starts today, agent Peter Schaffer said, "No updates. We have nothing to say." And there you have it. Drawing from inference and recent history, it appears Lelie will not take part in the opening session of the three-day mini-camp.

Unhappy over what he feels is a noncompetitive situation at the Broncos' No. 1 receiver position this season, partly because of the team's off-season acquisition of Javon Walker, Lelie is threatening to sit out the season unless he is traded. The Broncos entertained trade offers for Lelie during the April draft but could not find a suitable partner. It remains to be seen whether a partner will emerge or if Lelie will be forced to make good on his threats.
