Young's agent, Major Adams has been to Nashville several times since the draft in April and has chatted with Titans GM Floyd Reese. But they haven't started serious contract talks. "I'd say we're probably (less than) a week away from getting going," Adams said.

Young, who has been working out in Houston recently, is expected to land a deal with guaranteed money in the $25 million range. Over the years Reese has been mostly successful at getting his top picks into training camp on time. The Titans are scheduled to report for training camp on July 27, with the first practice scheduled for July 28. Young said during the June mini-camps he plans on being with the team from Day One.
