Onterrio Smith's Future As A Pro Increasingly Bleak
(7/11 7:48 PT)

The Facts:
Smith is eligible for reinstatement in the NFL in October, but it's doubtful many teams will be lining up to sign a player who has struggled for years with substance abuse and bad judgment, not necessarily in that order. Reported by the Nashville Tennessean

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Smith, who achieved NFL infamy when he was caught in possession of a device intended to help fool drug tests, recently didn't even make it out of training camp with Winnipeg of the CFL. Winnipeg coach Doug Berry said that cutting Smith "really wasn't much of a decision for me" because of his lax conditioning and a foot injury that kept him off the field. For what it's worth, Smith reported to CFL camp at least 20 pounds over his playing weight.
