The Facts:
The best battle at this position could come for the third receiver spot, where Bobby Wade and Tyrone Calico should battle it out. Wade is a capable slot receiver with reliable hands and runs good routes. Calico hopes to finally become the deep threat the Titans desperately need. If he does, he could push starters Drew Bennett or David Givens inside in three receiver sets.

According to City Paper staffer Terry McCormick, a Patriots-like receiver-by-committee approach is quite possible, but the Titans would like the veterans -- Givens, Bennett, Wade and Calico -- to be at the front of the line. Brandon Jones, who is easing back from ACL surgery, was the best of last year’s rookies, but might not be ready to start the season.
