The Facts:
Bush not only appears headed for a holdout with the Saints, a league source said the second pick overall is toying with the idea of sitting out the entire season and going back in the draft in 2007 if he doesn't get his price. "No player has ever had the kind of leverage that Reggie Bush has right now," the source said. "The Saints made it clear what they were willing to do before and now we'll see if they're going to get there."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Talks between the two sides have been slow (or even nonexistent) but Bush's agent, Joel Segal, is well known for taking his sweet time in getting his clients signed. And while all this sounds like public posturing in an attempt to build some momentum heading into negotiations, Yahoo Sports! reporter Jason Cole points out that Bush is well-positioned to sit out if he really wants. Bush supposedly has more than $5 million in the bank from multiple endorsement deals. That money is guaranteed regardless of whether Bush plays this season. ... Stay tuned and don't panic -- yet.
