The Facts:
The prevalence of a two-back offense will depend on how new blocking back Moran Norris fares and how much the 49ers use their "F-back," a hybrid fullback/tight end position. Davis will play some F-back as will last year's starting fullback, Chris Hetherington, and rookie Michael Robinson, the former quarterback from Penn State whom the 49ers drafted in the fourth round.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
A two-tight-end set pairing Davis with veteran Johnson could be an oft-used formation. Johnson missed all of last season after tearing his plantar fascia in his right foot in September. In 2004, Johnson's 82 receptions led the team and were the third most receptions by a tight end that season. But the Niners didn't draft Davis with the sixth pick overall to let him watch from the sidelines. They will find ways to get -- and keep -- him on the field.
