The Facts:
In his discussion with the media Tuesday, Scott Linehan touched on several issues of interest during training camp, which opens Wednesday, including depth at running back. The coach told reporters Moe Williams "is on the radar" as a possible backup, but that apparently is only the case if other opportunities don't materialize.

reported here last week, Williams, who worked under Linehan in Minnesota, visited the team in the off-season, but he is recovering from
microfracture knee surgery and he could not pass a physical at that time. The consensus among observers says another former Viking, Michael Bennett -- now with the Saints, is the more likely acquisition. Bennett, however, might not be available until later next month.
