Those involved in the Bush talks believe this negotiation is not much different than the others surrounding the high number of unsigned draft picks. The two sides, the Saints and Bush's representatives, resumed talks Tuesday, and those talks should heat up as camp approaches.

According to NFL Network insider Adam Schefter, all the talk about Bush holding out of training camp, and possibly into the season, is a bit premature for now. Schefter further notes, the Saints do not hold their first practice until July 28, and the NFL is a last-minute deal. Events transpire at the last moment that didn't seem possible before it. Shefter summed up: "Bush needs the Saints to pay him, and they will. They are unlikely to pay him the $54 million that the Texans gave defensive end Mario Williams, but Bush is going to make plenty from the Saints. ..." Sounds about right to us.
