The Facts:
Mike McCarthy made it seem that Ahman Green and Najeh Davenport would be ready to go when camp started. He said the two still had to pass their physicals this morning before being cleared to practice, but he said he thought both were close to being ready. He said if they were cleared they would be brought back gradually. "I just want to be cautious with those guys," he said. "We're going to play the high side of caution with both Najeh and Ahman."

Pressed further as to what led him to believe they'll be good to go -- before their physicals -- McCarthy said: "Just seeing them in June they really looked like they could play; they were ready to go then. ..." We'll all know if that's the case soon enough. ... Regardless of their initial status, we expect Sam Gado and Noah Herron to be very busy in camp and throughout the preseason.
