The 49ers first-round draft, Davis, signed his contract this morning in time for the team's first practice.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Davis would have ranked as one of the fastest wideouts in the draft after running a 4.38-second 40 at February's combine. Davis has the strength -- 33 repetitions at 225 -- to be a good blocker but he can also work out of backfield or be split wide. Mike Nolan wants to feature both Davis and Eric Johnson, the team's receiving leader in 2004, at the same time. But make no mistake about it: The Niners didn't draft Davis to watch from the sidelines this fall.
