Porter went public with his displeasure about the direction Oakland is taking under new head coach Art Shell -- and his desire to be traded -- earlier this week. Meanwhile, the Sacramento Bee reports that with Arnaz Battle (knee) limited to one practice daily, 49ers coach Mike Nolan admitted there have been internal discussions about bringing in a veteran receiver, such as Porter or Denver's Ashley Lelie. ... Nolan added the 49ers have not approached their respective teams about a deal.
