The Facts:
Davis felt great to be back on the field this week after sitting out more than seven months after knee surgery. But after all went well in his first test during drills at training camp, there was still a nervousness gnawing at the running back. Davis said his knee is not yet fully healed, but it's getting close.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Apparently the ailment that led to surgery wasn't as much about how he felt while he was playing, but how his knee swelled and ached afterward. So after his first practice, Davis waited and hoped -- and a few hours later the good news was delivered to him as he looked down at a non-inflamed knee. "There's no swelling," he reported. "I feel real good. ..." A great start -- but just that. His status bears watching in coming weeks. We'll bring you more if/when developments warrant.
