The Bears' starting wide receiver spot opposite Muhsin Muhammad hasn't been decided yet, but the leading candidate is Berrian. "He's in a position where it's his to lose," wide receivers coach Darryl Drake said of Berrian. "The thing I told him is, 'Don't let that happen.'

While it's too soon to count out Mark Bradley, whose recovery from a torn ACL in his right knee last October has been amazing, Berrian is clearly leading the way right now. According to DailySouthtown staffer Bob LeGere, Berrian has caught just about everything thrown in his direction through the first four days of camp, and he's got the elite speed and run-after-the-catch ability to create a big-play threat for the passing game. ... Now all he has to do is stay healthy -- not exactly a strong suit in the past.
