The Facts:
Kasay is encouraged by the progress of his sore kicking leg, but isn't predicting when he'll return to practice. Kasay said he aggravated two small abductor muscles in his groin during his final extensive workout before training camp. Though the injury is minor, the Panthers are treating it with caution. "It's not a big muscle and it was never a pull, a tear or a strain," Kasay said. "It was just that it got hot, got a little dehydrated and, for lack of a better word, it probably just cramped."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As
noted previously, the Panthers signed MacKenzie Hoambrecker to kick while Kasay recovers. Hoambrecker was 6-for-6 on field-goal attempts Monday morning. A few more sessions like that and we suspect Kasay will be less interested in caution.
