The Facts:
Evans missed practice Thursday night because of a bruised left shoulder. Dick Jauron referred to the injury as minor and added the player is considered day-to-day. The injury occurred in practice Wednesday, when Evans landed awkwardly after catching a pass.

Evans was also held out of the team's walkthrough earlier in the day. Buffalo's first-round draft pick in 2004, he is slotted to take over the No. 1 job after the team traded veteran Eric Moulds to Houston in April. ... We'll follow Evans' status, but at this point we'll take Jauron at his word and assume the speedy receiver will return to work soon.
