The Facts:
Owens missed both workout sessions Friday because of a twinge the new star receiver developed Wednesday. Owens has never had a hamstring problem before and is hoping the time off now will prevent this ache from turning into something serious. As he did Thursday, Owens rode a stationary bike and did various exercises with trainers while teammates went through drills, then stayed late to work with rookie receiver Sam Hurd.

Bill Parcells said he's not concerned about the hamstring. But he is concerned about any missed practice time. "He's got to get ready to play, that's for sure," Parcells said. "He's got a lot of work to do. The sooner he can get started, the better." Parcells said Owens was "up on the offense pretty well. ..." More as developments warrant.
