According to a person with knowledge of the situation, the Jets have expressed interest in Brown, who has asked the Titans to trade him. The Titans haven't given permission to Brown, in the final year of his contract, to negotiate a new deal with another team to facilitate a trade. The Broncos, Dolphins and Rams also have expressed interest in Brown, according to the source.

Curtis Martin, who underwent knee surgery late last year, is still unable to practice and on Thursday, Eric Mangini did not deny that the Jets could be looking for help at running back via trade or signing, saying only that each night he and GM Mike Tannenbaum meet to evaluate the current Jets roster as well as activity around the league.
