The Facts:
The Bears running back with $16 million invested in him is not believed to be seriously injured, although he likely will undergo an MRI exam on his left shoulder, perhaps as soon as Monday. For now, Benson and team officials are saying the shoulder is sprained after a hit from behind by safety Mike Brown at practice Friday night.

As noted previously, X-rays revealed no broken bones and Benson is wearing a sling. In a best-case scenario, he could be back on the field in two or three weeks, but a better evaluation won't come for a few more days.
