The Facts:
Perry went down after a hit and stayed down, with a minute and 14 seconds left in the Birds' 16-10 preseason-opening loss to the Oakland Raiders last night. Trainers, doctors, coaches and teammates eventually crowded around Perry, as his neck was immobilized. He was wheeled off the field on a stretcher, into a waiting ambulance.

Fortunately, a neck X-ray and a CT scan of his head showed no damage and Perry returned with the team to their Lehigh training camp headquarters early this morning, a team spokesman said. Andy Reid said Perry suffered a concussion. ... With Ryan Moats (knee) and Correll Buckhalter (knee) also hurting the Eagles are thin at running back.
