The Facts:
Culpepper will play in the Dolphins' pre-season opener Aug. 12, less than 10 months after a serious knee injury ended his 2005 season, Nick Saban said. "He has done everything in practice that he needs to do," the coach said. "And he wants to play."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
When the Dolphins acquired Culpepper in March from the Vikings, there were concerns he might not be healthy for the start of the regular season. But he has participated in every training camp practice and received medical clearance to play against Jacksonville. Like Miami's other starters, Culpepper is expected to see only brief action in the first of four preseason games. He'll be subject to his first contact since the injury.
