The Facts:
On the 11th offensive snap of last night's pre-season opener, FitzSimmons went out because of what Rod Marinelli said was a broken left wrist. FitzSimmons will see a hand and wrist specialist to determine what treatment he will have, and how long he will be out, Marinelli said.

FitzSimmons was made the starting tight end before training camp and held the job. He was hurt on a pass thrown to him in the back of the end zone near the end of the Lions' first possession. Marcus Pollard moves back in as the undisputed starter.
