Lions offensive coordinator Sherman Lewis is retiring at the end of the month, coach Steve Mariucci announced Monday. Lewis, who has been with the Lions since 2002, has been an NFL assistant for 22 seasons.

Lewis, 62, joined the Lions after spending two seasons as offensive coordinator of the Minnesota Vikings. He was the offensive coordinator in Green Bay from 1992-99, helping the Packers win one Super Bowl and appear in another.
