The Facts:
Owens missed his 12th straight practice Monday. He came out a few minutes before the session, carrying cleats and a long-sleeve shirt, and took what has become his customary position on a stationary bike. "I don't know the player very well. I just have to give him the benefit of the doubt right now," Bill Parcells said. "Right now I am erring on the side of caution." With Terry Glenn and Patrick Crayton also out, the Cowboys were without their top three receivers.

Parcells made it clear he wants Owens back on the field to work with Drew Bledsoe and the rest of the offense. ... Crayton, meanwhile, wore a boot on his right foot because of a sprained ankle sustained in the game. He could miss significant time. Glenn, who played Saturday night, missed practice for a second time because of blisters. When Glenn came out without pads Monday, Parcells appeared agitated with the receiver during an animated conversation. ... There haven't been any similar talks between Parcells and Owens.
