The Facts:
Ron Turner was hired Saturday to be the Chicago Bears' offensive coordinator for the second time. Turner, fired as head coach at the University of Illinois on Nov. 22, will replace Terry Shea, let go last week after just one season. The injury-ravaged Bears went 5-11 and finished last in the NFL in at least half a dozen offensive categories, including scoring and total yards. In firing Shea, head coach Lovie Smith said he wanted a team that was more run-oriented.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Turner served as the Bears' offensive coordinator under Dave Wannstedt from 1993-96, and Chicago set several team records in 1995 when its offense was ranked ninth in the NFL. In those four seasons, the Bears were 32-32.
