The Facts:
Returning to practice two months before doctors predicted following reconstructive knee surgery, Edwards has progressed to the point where Romeo Crennel is considering playing him in Cleveland's preseason game at Buffalo on Saturday. "We'll have to see how the practice week goes," Crennel said Monday. "If the week goes well and he is feeling good, we might have to give him one or two reps to see if he can move around against some different competition."

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Edwards has been on a speedy track to recovery since undergoing surgery in early January to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament. He was expected to need nine months of rehab, but was back on the field in less than seven. The Browns have been taking it slow with Edwards, but he's looked quick during passing drills and recently began taking part in contact.
