The Facts:
The Jaguars might have to start the season without Jones, their starting fullback who also splits carries with running back Fred Taylor, sprained the medial collateral ligament in his left knee. It was the opposite knee Jones injured during his final season at Florida State. LB Mike Peterson left the game with a sprained right MCL.

"Really good news considering what it could have been," coach Jack Del Rio said of the injuries. "The thought is that they should be back sometime during the Dallas week, ready for the opener. ..." That might be an optimistic assessment, but it's all we have to go on at this point. ... Stay tuned, though; we'll have more as further details come to light.
