Based on his pre-season debut Saturday night against the Bills, he's ready to go. He ran, caught a pass, blocked, took big hits and popped back up. "I tried everything you asked for and I survived," Edwards said. "It felt good." Edwards, who had surgery to repair a torn right ACL on Jan. 3, was slated to play about 10 plays, but he handled it so well he convinced coach Romeo Crennel to keep him in for 16, including 10 straight plays on a second-quarter field goal drive. ... You'll want to watch for setbacks in coming days, but at this point, he'll begin climbing in our rankings.
