The Titans have agreed in principle with Collins. Collins is expected to sign with the team once he passes a physical, which could be as early as today.

It's unclear what role he would have with the Titans, but at this point in his career it's unlikely he'd be happy with a back-up role. Billy Volek served as the No.1 QB the first three preseason games, with rookie quarterback Vince Young the No.2. Volek hasn't been especially impressive.
