Kubiak Very Concerned About Domanick Davis
(8/28 6:21 PT)

The Facts:
Gary Kubiak said Monday he was "very concerned" about the status of Davis as the fourth-year running back's time off the field due to a sore knee has stretched to almost a month. "There's not much we can do about it, but I'm very concerned about that situation," Kubiak said. "I know it's been very frustrating for him. All we can do is be there for him. I'm more concerned about him right now and doing what's right for him." Reported by the Red Zone

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Kubiak. who also indicated rookie Wali Lundy is the most likely opening-day starter, said he plans to meet with Davis, his doctors and agent before Houston's final preseason game Thursday. NFL rosters must be trimmed to 53 players by Saturday, but Kubiak has said he will make his final cuts Friday. "That's going to be a big call this week," Kubiak said. "It will be a tough decision from a final 53 for us as a team. And we'll make that decision in the best interest of Domanick. ..." Sure they will. Stay tuned.
