The Dolphins, who need a back to help replace suspended reserves Ricky Williams and Sammy Morris, think Lee Suggs (the former Brown was officially signed Monday) and Smith might be possible answers. If Smith were signed now, his full salary would have to be guaranteed, which is why Miami might wait until after Thursday night's regular season opener in Pittsburgh to sign him.
