The Facts:
Robinson visited with Packers officials Sunday and Monday before leaving without a contract, sources close to the situation confirmed. But that doesn't mean one won't be extended, eventually. The Packers know that for all of Robinson's troubles -- and there are a lot of them -- there are many ways in which he could help them.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
As NFL Network insider Adam Schefter noted, the Packers are carrying only four wide receivers on their 53-man roster; Robinson would be a fifth one that Green Bay needs. Then, there's this: the Packers still have not anointed a kick returner, and the team isn't sure who will do it yet. Robinson could serve in that role as well. Also: Packers GM Ted Thompson was with Seattle when they used their first-round pick on Robinson. The Packers brain trust knows Robinson, and appears to be debating the merits of signing him, despite the legal problems that now are confronting him.
