The Facts:
Shortly after the Chiefs had just lost Green because of a head trauma, somebody asked GM Carl Peterson whether he’d be shopping for another quarterback if Green is out for the year. “That is very premature,” Peterson said. In fact, the Chiefs expect Green to return, maybe after the bye week Oct. 1.

Peterson went on to say the doctors will decide when Green can return and that he’s comfortable with the Chiefs’ depth. Veteran Damon Huard replaced Green against the Bengals but wasn't impressive. The team's other two QBs are rookies. Brodie Croyle suited up as the third quarterback Sunday; Casey Printers is on the practice squad.
