The Facts:
The agent for Johnson has reportedly told the Bengals that his client will sit out next season rather than play for the one-year deal that comes with designation as a franchise player. Peter Schaffer told the team's official web site that Johnson wants to play for the Bengals "for the long term" and isn't interested in another one-year deal.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Johnson, who had all but 28 of the carries from the Bengals running backs this season, was a restricted free agent last offseason, but Schaffer and the Bengals were unable to come to terms on a long-term deal. Johnson signed the club's one-year, $1.8 million tender offer. The first day the Bengals can tag Johnson is Feb. 8.
