The Falcons, who play another of Andersen's former teams, New Orleans, on Monday night, needed to address their field goal kicking woes after place-kicker Michael Koenen missed 6-of-8 field goals in the first two games this season. Andersen had a private workout with the Falcons coaching staff over the summer. Koenen is also expected to retain his punting and kickoff duties.
