Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The mimimum recovery time for surgery of this type is usually six weeks -- but some are suggesting Simms' return will take more than 2 months. ... Meanwhile, Gruden said rookie Bruce Gradkowski would be the starting quarterback for Tampa Bay's next game on Oct. 8 at New Orleans with Tim Rattay as the backup. ... Some have speculated that Gruden might gauge Oakland's interest in trading Marques Tuiasosopo. Aaron Brooks' injury, however, makes a deal seem unlikely.
