Alexander hopes to play Sunday, after all. The NFL's reigning most valuable player is crediting the power of prayer for possibly healing the cracked bone in his left foot. The foot stopped hurting Tuesday and word spread as Alexander began alerting friends and family. Reported by the Tacoma News Tribune

According to News Tribune staffer Mike Sando, we'll presumably hear more about this if and when Alexander addresses reporters later in the day. Mike Holmgren will provide the latest information at his press conference today (noon pacific time). The team will still determine whether Alexander plays against the Bears on Sunday. ... The MRI exam he underwent earlier in the week showed a very small crack. If that has cleared up, it's conceivable that Alexander could play this week. ... We remain somewhat skeptical, but will report further when we hear more.
