New coach Nick Saban said that Feeley will be Miami's starter next season while the rest of the quarterback corps is rounded out by a veteran backup and a young, developing player as the third-stringer.

Feeley will be backed up by a veteran, but it seems unlikely Jay Fiedler is that player. Fiedler, unlike Feeley and Sage Rosenfels, has not met with Saban since the coach was hired and likely will be cut by March 1 for salary cap reasons.
