The Facts:
Tony Dungy said Vinatieri -- who missed a second consecutive game with a groin injury -- wanted to kick Sunday. Dungy said he made the decision to hold Vinatieri out because of the possibility of a wet field at the Meadowlands. “Adam maybe could have kicked,” Dungy said. “We were probably wise in not kicking him. It was more my feelings. It took everything we had to keep him out.”
