Jones opened the week listed as doubtful on the team's injury report making it all but certain Jack Del Rio will make good on previously discussed plans to hold the second-year receiver out of Sunday's game against the Jets.

Jones hurt his hamstring against the Redskins and missed most of the second half. Jones' injury is among those that have Del Rio considering the possibility of resting some of his injured players this week against the Jets. The Jaguars have a bye week following their game against the Jets, then play at Houston on Oct. 22. This would be the best opportunity in the season for Jones to get the rest his injuries require to heal.
