Bryson probably will require knee surgery, coach Rod Marinelli said Monday. Bryson was hurt during a kickoff return in the first quarter of Sunday's 20-17 victory over Buffalo. He was taken off the field on a cart and did not return. Reported by the Detroit Free Press

Fellow (blocking) fullback Cory Schlesinger has a hamstring injury, which Rod Marinelli said he expected to learn more about today. Without a timetable for Bryson's return and the backfield ailing, Marinelli said the Lions would consider signing a running back. "I think we will," he said.
