The Facts:
It appears that Williams, who suffered a sprained right ankle on his only carry in the Panthers' 20-12 win over Cleveland on Oct. 8, will miss about one month because of the injury.

Sources told Journal beat writer Joe Menzer that John Fox let that slip in a meeting where he was discussing his team with a Fox Sports television crew before Sunday's win in Baltimore. Fox Sports reported during its telecast of the game that Williams would be out approximately that long. When asked about the television report that Williams would be out one month, putting his probable return around Nov. 13, Fox replied: "I can't make those determinations. We'll evaluate him Wednesday and update you guys. ..." Don't get your hopes up.
