Although Adam Vinatieri is optimistic his strained groin has sufficiently healed to allow him to handle the kicking duties when the Colts host the Washington Redskins on Sunday, Stokley won't play.

Stokley sprained the posterior cruciate ligament in his left knee in the Oct. 8 win over Tennessee while Sanders has missed the past three games after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his right knee to address an injury that occurred during practice. ... The team worked out veteran free-agent Ricky Proehl last week; it's not clear if he'll get a call this week.
