The Bills are close to reaching an agreement on a contract extension for Moulds. The deal, which could be finalized in the next few days, would give the Bills relief in their 2005 salary cap and give Moulds more security. Moulds was scheduled to cost the Bills $8.7 million against the cap this year and was to receive about $6.6 million in cash.

Moulds, 31, caught a team-high 88 passes for 1,043 yards with five touchdowns last season. He ranked fourth in the AFC and 10th in the NFL in catches. It was the fourth 1,000-yard season of his nine-year career.
