The Facts:
Romeo Crennel made his first major move as coach of the Cleveland Browns, naming Carthon offensive coordinator on Sunday. Carthon held that position with the Dallas Cowboys under coach Bill Parcells for the last two years, overseeing game preparation as well as working with the team's running backs. The Browns also named John Lott strength and conditioning coach on Sunday. He served in the same capacity with the New York Jets for the last eight years.

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
Carthon played under Crennel and worked on the same staff with him for six years, three with the New England Patriots beginning in 1994 and three with the New York Jets ending in 1999. According to Crennel, Carthon "has a tremendous work ethic. Maurice and I share the same philosophy on how our offense will run and I know he will be a great asset to the Cleveland Browns." The Cowboys ranked 14th in offense under Carthon's guidance last year.
