A day after splitting first-team reps with David Garrard, Leftwich found himself on the sidelines resting an ankle injury that may have contributed to a sub-par effort in last week's loss to Houston in which he finished 14 of 28 passing for 125 yards, with no touchdowns or interceptions.

Leftwich is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Eagles, but the Jags seem to be heading for a change under center -- at least for this week. Remember: Garrard's mobility could pose a problem for a strong Eagles pass rush; Leftwich certainly won't. ... Stay tuned.
