The Facts:
Mike Holmgren told reporters during his Monday afternoon press conference that the latest round of tests on Alexander's foot were positive -- that the cracked bone is healing -- but that doctors aren't ready to give the star halfback a green light to return this week. "The medical people are reluctant to hand [Alexander] over to me after looking at the pictures," Holmgren said. "It will be at least another week."

Alexander will undoubtedly argue that he is ready, but Holmgren didn't sound like a man ready to change his mind today -- although he's clearly disappointed in the team's rushing attack as things currently stand.
