The Facts:
After rampant speculation Green was on the brink of being fired after the team's seventh loss in a row, Cardinals VP and general counsel Michael Bidwill -- son of team owner Bill Bidwill -- released a statement late Monday afternoon supporting the coach. "I do not believe a coaching change improves our chances of winning against the Cowboys or any game in the second half of the season," Bidwell said in the statement. Reported by ESPN.com

Fantasy Football Diehards Line:
The Cardinals have a bye week before playing Dallas at home on Nov. 12. ... Green's record at Arizona has dropped to 12-28 in 2 and a half seasons. In fact, as SI.com insider Peter King pointed out this morning, Green's record in his last 56 games as an NFL coach is 17-39; the record of Rich Kotite in his last 56 games as an NFL coach: 15-41. ... Green might remain, but we're not looking for a major turnaround this year.
