Curtis' injury, described as bruised ribs by Linehan, isn't thought to be serious. Curtis has a bruised chest and bruised abdomen after taking a vicious hit from Sammy Knight on the final play of the 31-17 loss to Kansas City. He was taken to a hospital as a precaution after the game.

That said, Linehan admitted he didn't think Curtis, who averaged 21.5 yards on four returns as Tony Fisher's replacement on Sunday, would handle that role next week against the Seahawks. In case you missed it, Fisher is believed to have a torn ACL. J.R. Reed seems the most likely candidate to handle the team's kickoff returns at this point.
